Horsewear Wash-bag

Q. What can I was in the Horsewear Wash-bag?
A. You can wash most horsewear in the wash-bag including: rugs, numnahs, exercise sheets, coolers, fleeces, fly sheets, fly masks, halters, bandages, pads, girths and boots.  The wash-bag can also be used for pet items too, such as pet clothing, towels and bedding.

Q. What size bag do I need?
A. There are three sizes of Horsewear Wash-bag (small, large and jumbo).

Small: Ideal for washing items such as girths, bandages, pads, fly mask or fringes, headcollars, small boots such as brushing or bell boots.

Large: For the above plus numnahs and thin rugs, such as coolers fly rugs and thin stable rugs, also travel boots.

Jumbo: For the above plus thicker rugs... please remember, if you rug won't already fit in your washing machine - it's too big to wash yourself and you will need it professionally cleaned. 

Q. My washine machine has a standard 5kg drum, which wash-bag will I need?
A. Either the small or large wash-bag is suitable for a 5kg drum, the jumbo is suitable for a 6kg upwards.

Q. Will I be able to put my 6ft 9" fly sheet in the wash-bag?
A. Yes, that size of sheet will fit in either the large or jumbo horsewear wash-bag.

Q. Can I wash more than one item together at the same time?
A. Yes you can either put items together inside the bag or wash hair covered items in the bag and other items loose in the washing machine at the same time.

Q. What temperature should I wash my items at?
A. Follow the manufactures washing instructions on your item. If there is none wash at 40 degrees.

Q. Can I put the bag in my tumble dryer?
A. Yes, the wash-bag can either be dried with the items still inside it or on its own inside a tumble dryer.

Q. Can I put a white numnah in the wash-bag? I am worried that the orange colour of the bag may discolour my numnah.
A. The colour of the material will not discolour your item.

Q. I have noticed that horse hair has stuck to the velcro on my travel boots after washing them in the bag?
A. Horse hair is attracted to velcro, make sure the velcro tabs are closed together during the wash. Also make sure that you shake the loose hair out of the wash-bag after every wash.
